Chera Hammons Miller

Chera Hammons is a winner of the 2012 Jacar Press Chapbook Competition, the 2001 Texas Association of Creative Writing Teachers Award for Poetry, and the 2011 Barbara Bradley Poetry Award sponsored by the New England Poetry Club. She attended Amarillo College, the College of Santa Fe, and West Texas A&M University, and is currently completing the MFA in Creative Writing program at Goddard College in Vermont. She lives in Amarillo, Texas with her husband Daniel, two horses, one English Spotted rabbit, and her cat, Butter. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, making ice cream, and playing any songs that only have three chords on the guitar.
