Katharine Coles' memoir, Look Both Ways, will be published by Turtle Point Press in 2018, and her seventh collection of poems, Wayward (Red Hen) will be come out in 2019.  Her fifth collection, The Earth Is Not Flat (Red Hen 2013), was written under the auspices of the National Science Foundation’s Antarctic Artists and Writers Program.  Her poems and essays have been translated into German, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, and Dutch.  A Distinguished Professor of English at the University of Utah, in 2009 and 2010 she served as the Inaugural Director of the Poetry Foundation’s Harriet Monroe Poetry Institute.  She has received  fellowships and awards from the NEA, the NEH, and the Guggenheim Foundation.
