Matt Tullis is an associate professor of journalism and digital media at Ashland University. He is an associate editor with River Teeth and is the host and producer of Gangrey: The Podcast, a podcast dedicated to literary journalism and the reporters who write it.
Tullis, a former daily newspaper reporter, has written for numerous publications, including SB Nation Longform, Sports On Earth, Yahoo!'s The Post Game, and Cleveland Magazine, among others. He has also published essays in Waccamaw and Elysian Fields Quarterly. His work has twice been listed as notable in Best American Sports Writing, most recently for his story "Feet of Clay, Heart of Iron," a profile of the world's second best horseshoe pitcher.
Tullis earned his MFA in creative writing from the University of North Carolina in 2005.
