Noley Reid’s fourth book is Origami Dogs, a collection of short stories in which dogs rove the grounds of their companions’ emotions. By turns tender, playful, and devastating, the book is a celebration of the bond possible between humans and dogs. Independent Book Review included Origami Dogs on its “30 Indie Books to Look Out for in Early 2023” list. Reid’s previous book, the novel Pretend We Are Lovely, was an Oprah Magazine Editors’ Pick and Publishers Weekly Best of the Season. Her stories and essays appear in The Southern Review, Tin House, The Rumpus, Arts & Letters, Meridian, Pithead Chapel, The Lily, Bustle, and Los Angeles Review of Books. She lives in southwest Indiana with her two best boys, a rabbit, and two of the original origami dogs. www.NoleyReid.com
