Leslie Ullman has published five collections of poetry, most recently The You That All Along Has Housed You: A Sequence.. She is Professor Emerita at University of Texas-El Paso, where she established the Bilingual Creative Writing Program and taught for 27 years. Currently she is on the faculty of the low-residency program at Vermont College of the Fine Arts, where she has taught since 1981. In addition to poetry publications in numerous journals, her reviews and craft essays have appeared in The Writers Chronicle, Numero Cinq, Kenyon Review, and Poetry Magazine. Awards include the Yale Series of Younger Poets Award, the Iowa Poetry Prize, the New Mexico/Arizona Book Award in Poetry, and two NEA Fellowships. She resides in Taos, New Mexico and has taught as a certified ski instructor at Taos Ski Valley since 2006.
