Beth Nguyen is the author of the memoirs Owner of a Lonely Heart and Stealing Buddha’s Dinner, and two novels. Her work has appeared in The New Yorker, The Paris Review, The New York Times, and numerous anthologies including Best American Essays. Nguyen is a professor in the creative writing program at the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
