Constance Squires is the author of two novels, Along the Watchtower, Live from Medicine Park, and a collection of stories, Hit Your Brights. Her first novel received the Oklahoma Book Award and the second was named one of “Seven Candidates for the Great American Rock and Roll Novel” in 2018 by Electric Literature.  A finalist for the Disquiet International Literary Award and a three time Pushcart Prize nominee, her short fiction has appeared or is forthcoming in Opossum, Shenandoah, the Atlantic Monthly, This Land, the Arkansas Review, the Dublin Quarterly, Ginkgo Tree Review, Bayou, New Delta Review, and others.  Her nonfiction has appeared in the Village Voice, Salon, the New York Times, and on the NPR program Snap Judgment and in the short documentary, Grave Misgivings, currently in production. She holds a Ph.D. in English/Creative Writing from Oklahoma State University and teaches fiction writing at the University of Central Oklahoma.
