Karyna McGlynn is the author of I Have to Go Back to 1994 and Kill a Girl, Alabama Steve and Scorpionica. Her poems have recently appeared in The Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, The Literary Review, West Branch, and The Academy of American Poet’s Poem-A-Day. Karyna holds an MFA from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing from the University of Houston, where she served as Poetry Editor and Managing Editor of Gulf Coast. Her honors include a Hopwood Award, an Academy of American Poets’ Prize, the Kathryn A. Morton Prize, and the Inprint Verlaine Prize in Poetry. Karyna is currently the 2015-16 Diane Middlebrook Poetry Fellow at the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing.
