Kathryn Lane, award-winning author of Waking Up in Medellin and Coyote Zone, sets her novels and short stories in exotic places and on the US-Mexico border. Coyote Zone won the Action/Adventure award in Latino Books into Movies-2018 contest. Backyard Volcano is her collection of short stories.
