I write poetry and fiction and my latest collection is The Way Out (Parthian, 2018).  I am also Chair of Literature Wales. I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2010 where I am Programme Director for our Postgraduate Degrees in Creative Writing and English Literature.  I teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. I have research interests in writing process and theory. I am also interested in interdisciplinary applications of writing practice.  I gained a BA in English from Aberystwyth University, an MA in Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia and a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing at Cardiff University.
