Andrew Proctor is the Executive Director of Literary Arts, a nonprofit literary center based in Portland, OR, that serves thousands readers and writers each year. Previously, Proctor was the Membership and Operations Director at PEN American Center (based in New York City), a global human rights organization that seeks to defend writers wherever they are imperiled. He has also been an Associate Editor at HarperCollins publishers and worked in the Cultural Affairs office at the Canadian High Commission in London (UK).  He has an undergraduate degree in English and music from Concordia University in Montreal (Canada) and a Masters Degree in English from the University of East Anglia (UK).
