Dawn Raffel is the author of five books, most recently The Strange Case of Dr. Couney, which won a Christopher Award. Her other books include a memoir, The Secret Life of Objects, two story collections—Further Adventures in the Restless Universe and In the Year of Long Division—and a novel, Carrying the Body. She has taught creative writing at Columbia University (MFA and undergrad), as well as Summer Literary Seminars worldwide, the Center for Fiction in New York, and numerous independent workshops. She is also a certified yoga instructor and increasingly integrates breath work and movement into the teaching of creative writing. She can be reached via Dawnraffel.com
