Janelle Adsit is an Assistant Professor of Writing Practices and Affiliated Faculty in Environmental Studies at Humboldt State University where she teaches courses in creative writing, environmental writing, and literary publishing. Her research focuses on creative writing pedagogies and critical university studies. Articles have appeared or are forthcoming in Feminist Formations and New Writing, and collections such as Creative Writing in the Digital Age. She is editor of a forthcoming textbook Critical Creative Writing: An Anthology of Craft-Criticism and is author of the book Toward an Inclusive Creative Writing: Threshold Concepts to Guide the Literary Writing Curriculum. Her poetry has appeared in journals such as Confrontation, Requited, Cultural Society, and she is author of a book of poems Unremitting Entrance and chapbook Press Yourself Against a Mirror. She lives in Northern California.
