Mrs Briony Bax
Briony Bax has returned to London after having lived in America for the past twenty-five years to assume the role of Editor at Ambit Magazine. She has a varied background serving in many capacities in non-profits including Planned Parenthood, Covenant House New York, ODC/Dance, Brentwood School Board and the Piedmont Educational Foundation and most currently The Poetry Book Society in London. She founded the Orphan Support League in 2007 that works in Kenya supporting programs for underserved communities. During her time in Los Angeles she co-produced “Wet Weather Cover” at the Tiffany Theater written by Oliver Cotton. In addition she is a poet having work published in Ambit and was a featured reader in the Los Angeles Poetry in Motion series, reading poetry in the LA Subway. She is the daughter of the poet Adrian Mitchell.
