Laura E. Davis

Laura E. Davis, author of the chapbook Braiding the Storm, is from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she earned her MFA from Chatham University. Winner of the 2011 Crab Creek Review Poetry Contest, her writing is featured or forthcoming in Stone Highway Review, WomenArts Quarterly, Natural Bridge, Mason's Road, and Redactions, among others. An instructor for Poetry Inside Out, a program that teaches poetry writing and translation in K-12 schools, Laura also co-edited and illustrated the organization's first eponymously titled activity book. She is the Founding Editor of Weave Magazine and the Poetry Out Loud Coordinator for San Francisco, where she lives with her partner, Sal.
