Sonja Livingston’s latest book, The Virgin of Prince Street, explores changing cultural and personal conceptions of devotion. An award-winning essayist, she's the author of three other books, including Ghostbread, which won the AWP Prize for Creative Nonfiction. Sonja's essays have been honored with awards from the Deming Fund, The Iowa Review, Arts & Letters, Ruminate, and the New York State Foundation for the Arts. Recent work appears in many journals, including Salon, Creative Nonfiction, Sojourner's and The Rumpus. Sonja splits her time between New York State and Virginia, where she teaches in the MFA Program at VCU.
