Sarah Busse (Sarah Sadie) received her MFA in Creative Writing and Literature from Bennington College. She served as one of Madison, Wisconsin’s Poets Laureate from 2012-2015. Former co-editor of Verse Wisconsin, she is currently one half of Cowfeather Press. Her second full-length collection, We Are Traveling Through Dark at Tremendous Speeds, was published in 2015. Her first collection, Somewhere Piano, (Mayapple Press, 2012) received the Posner Award for the best full-length poetry collection of the year from the Council for Wisconsin Writers. She has also received the WFOP Chapbook Award, the CWW’s Lorine Niedecker Prize and a Pushcart Prize. She teaches at the University of Iowa Summer Writing Festival and (online) at the Loft.
