Leah Umansky is the author of three books of poetry, most recently OF TYRANT, forthcoming with The Word Works in 2024. She earned her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College and has been the host & curator of the COUPLET Reading Series in NYC since 2010. Her writing has been widely published in such places as The New York Times, American Poetry Review among others. Her Game of Thrones inspired poems have been translated into Norwegian and Bengali. She has been an English teacher for over fifteen years and teaches poetry workshops to students of all ages.
