Terry Tierney is the author of a poetry collection, The Poet’s Garage, and the novels, Lucky Ride, a sixties road novel, and The Bridge on Beer River, a rust belt romance set in upstate New York. His poems and stories have recently appeared in The Bellevue Literary Review, Remington Review, Reed Magazine, Ghost Parachute, Flash Fiction Magazine, Rust + Moth, Typishly, Valparaiso Poetry Review, The Lake, and other publications. Terry's second poetry book, Why Trees Stay Outside, will be published in October 2024.

Terry was born in South Dakota and raised in Minneapolis and Cleveland. After serving in the Seabees, he received a BA and MA in English from SUNY Binghamton, and a PhD in Victorian Literature from Emory University. He survived a career as a software engineering manager at a series of Silicon Valley startups. He lives in the San Francisco Bay Area. His website is https://terrytierney.com.
