This reading and craft discussion celebrates work of the Spanish-language, multi-genre anthology, Corazon y Una Lengua Peregrina. It features work by Latino Writers Collective members living in the Midwest who have roots across the Americas and Spain. Esta lectura y discusión celebra el trabajo de la antología en Español y múltiples géneros, Corazon y Una Lengua Peregrina. Nosotros presenta la letra de miembros del Colectivo de Escritores Latinos con raíces a través de las Américas y Espana.


Participants

Moderator:

Jose Faus is a writer and visual artist. He is a founding member of the Latino Writers Collective and president of the board of the Writers Place, a resource and advocacy center for Kansas City area writers.

Germán Alonso Perilla Díaz is a Colombian journalist and current president of the Latino Writers Collective.

Norma E. Cantú, currently serves as the Murchison Professor of the Humanities at Trinity University. An award-winning novelist and poet, her work centers on the border and social justice issues. She is cofounder of CantoMundo, and a member of the Macondo Writers Workshop.

Maria De Los Angeles Diaz works as an interpreter. Since 2010, she has been a member oft the Latino Writers Collective and attends an ongoing workshop that support Spanish-Ianguage writers. As a poet in love with words, she is an observer of the world we live in.
