Authors with new collections in the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry will read from their books.


Participants

Moderator:

Jon Tribble teaches at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he is the series editor of the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry published by Southern Illinois University Press and the managing editor of Crab Orchard Review.

Sass Brown is the author of USA-1000, winner of the Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Open Competition. She is a recipient of the Ruth Lilly Fellowship in Poetry, a Vermont Studio Center fellowship, and a Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference scholarship. Her MFA in creative writing is from Indiana University.

Lisa Fay Coutley is the author of Errata and In the Carnival of Breathing. She has received a fellowship from the NEA, scholarships to the Bread Loaf and Sewanee Writers' Conferences, and an Academy of American Poets Levis Prize.

Gregory Kimbrell is the author of The Primitive Observatory, forthcoming, selected by Brian Barker as the winner of the 2014 Crab Orchard Series in Poetry First Book Award. His poems have appeared in the Abaculi Project and the Laurel Review and are forthcoming in Blackbird.

Jennifer Richter's newly released second collection, No Acute Distress, is a Crab Orchard Series in Poetry Editor's Selection; her first book, Threshold, was chosen for the Crab Orchard Series by Natasha Trethewey. Richter currently teaches in Oregon State University's MFA program.
