Anna Deeny Morales has translated poetry by Raúl Zurita, Mercedes Roffé, Alejandra Pizarnik, Nicanor Parra, and Gabriela Mistral among others. Deeny is currently writing a book about sound dissent, translation, and Latin American poetry. She teaches at Georgetown University.
Raúl Zurita’s works include Purgatorio, Anteparaíso, Canto a su amor desaparecido, La Vida Nueva, INRI, and Zurita. He was awarded the Premio Pablo Neruda, Premio Nacional de Literatura de Chile, and a Guggenheim Fellowship. He is a professor emeritus at the Universidad Diego Portales.
Valerie Mejer is a poet and painter and she is the author of the poetry collections Rain of the Future and This Blue Novel. Her books in Spanish include Cuaderno de Edimburgo, de la ola, el atajo; Geografías de Niebla; Esta Novela Azul, and Ante el Ojo de Cíclope.
Daniel Borzutzky's most recent book is In the Murmurs of the Rotten Carcass Economy. His translations include books of poetry by Raúl Zurita and Jaime Luis Huenún's Port Trakl. He teaches at Wright College in Chicago. His is the recipient of grants from the NEA and the PEN Foundation.
