Deema K. Shehabi is the author of Thirteen Departures from the Moon and coeditor with Beau Beausoleil of Al-Mutanabbi Street Starts Here, for which she received the Northern California Book Award's NCBR Recognition Award. She's also coauthor with Marilyn Hacker of Diaspo/Renga.
Shadab Zeest Hashmi has won the San Diego Book Award for poetry for her books Baker of Tarifa and Kohl and Chalk. Her work has appeared in Prairie Schooner, the Cortland Review, Vallum, Poetry International, Nimrod, Rhino, and other journals worldwide and has been translated into Spanish and Urdu.
Lena Khalaf Tuffaha writes poetry, essays, and literary translations. She has been published in the US, the UK, Mexico, Turkey, and Egypt. Her poems have been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and the Rita Dove Poetry Prize. She is working towards her MFA at the Rainier Writing Workshop at PLU.
