Write Bloody Publishing celebrates and mandates that all their authors tour to build a fanbase. A discussion with a diverse group of well travelled poets along with poems, stories, and tips for surviving the modern tour schedule.

Derrick Brown is the president of Write Bloody Publishing. He is the author of ten books of poetry and four children's books, and is the winner of the 2013 Texas Book of The Year Prize for poetry, and he actually does mind stealing bread from the mouths of decadence.

Taylor Mali, teacher, poet, and inventor, is a four-time National Poetry Slam champion and one of the original poets to appear on the HBO series Def Poetry Jam. He is the inventor of Metaphor Dice and the founding curator of Page Meets Stage, a reading series hosted at the Bowery Poetry Club in New York City.

Anis Mojgani is the author of five books, most recently In the Pockets of Small Gods. A two-time National Poetry Slam Individual Champion and alumni of the Tin House Writer’s Workshop, Anis currently lives in Portland, Oregon, where he serves on the board of directors for Literary Arts.

Jason Bayani is the author of Locus (Omnidawn Publishing, 2019) and Amulet (Write Bloody, 2013). He's an MFA graduate of Saint Mary's, a Kundiman fellow, and the codirector of Kearny Street Workshop. In 2016, he premiered his solo theater show, Locus of Control, and tours it across the country.
