Annual meeting of writing faculty who teach in art and design environments to discuss pedagogy, programming, administration, and general best practices particular to their writing classes and programs.

Moderator:

Ryan G. Van Cleave directs the creative writing program at the Ringling College of Art & Design. He is the author of more than twenty books, including Memoir Writing for Dummies and The Weekend Book Proposalryangvancleave.com

Melissa Tombro is an Associate Professor of writing and gender studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. In her writing, teaching, and volunteer work, she encourages other writers to use self-reflection and community engagement as a way to create meaningful, informed, and inspiring prose.

Ariana-Sophia Kartsonis is an Associate Professor at Columbus College of Art & Design and the faculty advisor for Botticelli Magazine.

Hugh Behm-Steinberg is the author of two books of poetry, Shy Green Fields and The Opposite of Work. His short story "Taylor Swift" won the 2015 Barthelme Prize. He teaches writing at California College of the Arts, where he is a shop steward for the Adjunct Faculty Union/SEIU 1021.

Lesley Jenike teaches at the Columbus College of Art and Design. Her poems and essays have appeared or will appear in The Kenyon Review, The Southern Review, Poetry, The Gettysburg Review, and many other journals. Her most recent collections are Holy Island and Punctum.
