Join Poets House for a reading by three award-winning poets, representing the rich diversity of contemporary American poetry and range of lyric and sonic landscapes. A conversation about their work and the role of poetry in our culture will follow the reading. Executive Director Lee Briccetti will introduce the event. In 2017–2018, Poets House, a national poetry library and literary center based in New York, celebrates its 30th anniversary.

Patricia Spears Jones, is the author of A Lucent Fire: New and Selected Poems, three poetry collections, five chapbook, and two plays for Mabou Mines. Anthologized in BAX 2016 and The Golden Shovel, she is a recipient 2017 Jackson Poetry Prize and a lecturer at CUNY and Adelphi University.

Rick Barot has published three volumes of poetry with Sarabande Books: The Darker Fall, Want, and Chord. He directs The Rainier Writing Workshop, the low-residency MFA at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, and he is the poetry editor of New England Review.

LaTasha N. Nevada Diggs is a writer, vocalist, and author of TwERK. Her poetry has been widely published. She has received awards from New York Foundation for the Arts, Jerome Foundation, Japan-US Friendship Commission, Creative Capital, National Endowment for the Arts, and the Whiting Foundation.
