Conference Hotel
We work closely with hotels near our conference site to secure competitive lodging rates for conference attendees. Please know that the conference hotels usually sell out of rooms several months in advance of our conference. Although we routinely secure overflow accommodations within walking distance of the conference, we know that many attendees, especially those who are presenting at the conference, prefer to lodge onsite. We encourage you to secure your reservation early.
All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card.

To book your room by phone and receive our discounted conference rate, call the hotel of your choice from the list below and tell the reservationist you’re with the AWP conference.
What You Should Know Before Reserving Your Room
- If you cancel your reservation fewer than 30 days in advance of your arrival, the hotel will apply a cancellation fee to your reservation equal to one night’s room and tax. If you check out prior to your reserved checkout date, the hotel may apply an early departure fee.
- Please do not reserve more rooms than you need. AWP’s discounted rooms sell out quickly, and each year dozens of discounted room reservations made by attendees are cancelled and go unused. Please be considerate of other conference attendees by reserving only the rooms you need for your confirmed attendees.
- Please be mindful of each hotel’s deadline for reserving rooms at AWP’s discounted rate. After these respective dates, discounted rates will no longer be available to attendees.
- The only way to secure a reservation at any of the participating AWP conference hotels listed below is to contact the hotel directly. There are no third-party housing services authorized to reserve or sell hotel rooms on behalf of AWP or any of our conference hotels. Attendees who use a third-party housing service to secure lodging at one of our contracted hotels may be participating in illegal activity.

Taxi Services From Seattle-Tacoma Airport to Conference Hotels and Convention Center
Taxi services are available on the third floor of the airport parking garage. Cost is approximately $40 to or from the airport. Please keep in mind that additional charges may apply (e.g. additional passengers, waiting time, gas surcharges, etc.).

Travel From Seattle-Tacoma Airport to Conference Hotels and Convention Center via Seattle Light Rail
Take the affordable light rail from SeaTac Airport Station to Westlake Station (4th Avenue Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98101). The fee is $2.75 each way: http://www.soundtransit.org/Schedules/Central-Link-light-rail#
The convention center and the Seattle Sheraton Hotel are about 0.5 miles from the Westlake Station.
Train Travel to Conference via Amtrak
Amtrak is offering #AWP14 Conference & Bookfair attendees a 10% discount off tickets from anywhere in the country to Seattle, WA (SEA). Tickets must be used for travel dates between February 23, 2014 – March 04, 2014. To book your reservation, call Amtrak at 1-800-872-7245 and mention the convention fare code X10R-982 to receive 10% off your ticket purchase. The discount cannot be applied to internet bookings.
The Seattle Amtrak station is approximately a $5 taxi ride away to all conference hotels and the convention center.
